Property System
Buy a house or apartment, furnish it, store things, share keys and park at home.
What it is
Players buy houses and apartments all over the map. Inside they place furniture, keep items in storage furniture, change outfits and give keys to friends. Most houses also have their own garage.
The parts
| Part | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Houses | Buying, living in, selling, break-ins and police raids |
| Keys | Copying, giving and removing house keys with /keys |
| Furniture Store | Buying furniture, placing it, storage and wardrobes |
| House Garage | Parking your vehicles at home |
The price is shown on the door prompt. Cheap, low and mid-tier homes cost 1.5× their old price, from $90,000 for a Sandy Shores trailer. High-end homes were also raised by 1.5× but never cost less than $380,000, so they go from $380,000 to $900,000. Mansions keep their price, up to $2,750,000.
Config basics
All settings are in [esx]/[housing]/mvx_housing/configuration/:
| File | What it holds |
|---|---|
config.lua | Main settings, the list of houses, break-in and raid rules, map icons |
furniture.lua | Furniture categories, prices, storage sizes and wardrobe pieces |
keys.lua | The /keys command and how close a player must be to receive a key |
language.lua | Every text players see |
Houses are added in config.lua by your team; there is no in-game house creator.
Admin Quick Test
Each part has its own full walkthrough. Do them in this order, all with the same Sandy Shores trailer (door at 1813.40, 3854.25, 34.35, $90,000):
- Houses: buy the trailer, go in, break-in and police raid, sell it back.
- Keys: copy a key, give it to a second player, use and remove it.
- Furniture Store: buy a locker at 2747.54, 3472.87, 55.67, place it and open its storage.
- House Garage: park an owned car at the trailer and take it out again.
Sell the trailer back as the last step, so you get $63,000 back.
