Player Commands

All keys and chat commands a normal player can use. Staff commands are on Admin Commands.

Tip

Players can change most keys in GTA: Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM. The keys below are the defaults.

Everywhere

Key or command	What it does	Example
Hold `Left Alt`	Third eye: look at a person, car or object to see what you can do with it	Third eye on a shopkeeper
`Z`	Quick (radial) menu, for example the shop options in a barber or tattoo shop
`Esc`	Pause menu
`P`	Full GTA map
`F9`	Scoreboard: players online and services on duty
`X`	Cancel a progress bar (when it can be cancelled). While a bar runs, X only cancels the bar
`/keybinds`	Controls screen: every action, the key it is on for you, and keys used twice	`/keybinds`

Send distress signal	Police/EMS distress signal when knocked down. No key by default; bind "Send distress signal to Police/EMS" in the key settings
`G` when dead	Respawn at the hospital (after the timer)
`/help`	Call the AI doctor when dead and no medic is on duty	`/help`
`/report`	Report menu: ask staff for help. Also a button in the pause menu	`/report`

Phone

See Phone System. You need a phone item; it does not open while you are dead or cuffed.

`Caps Lock`	Speed limiter: your car will not go faster than the speed you had when you pressed it. Press again to turn it off
`U`	Lock or unlock your car
`-` / `=` / `Backspace`	Left signal, right signal, hazard lights
`/shuff`	Move from the passenger seat to the driver seat	`/shuff`
`E` at a garage	Park, or open the garage menu
`E` at a pump	Fuel menu; `X` stops fuelling
Hold `Right Alt`	Use nitrous, if fitted

Voice & radio

EMS

Mechanic

Needs job: mechanic (or a mechanic shop job).

Needs job: lawyer (lawyer, senior lawyer or judge; given by staff).

Needs to be in a gang.
