Pilot

Fly cargo and passenger missions, fly real players for a ticket, or buy an NPC flight.

What it is

Pilots fly between Los Santos airport (LSIA), Sandy Airfield and Grapeseed Airfield. They can fly missions for pay, or open boarding so real players can buy a ticket. Players with no pilot around can buy an NPC flight.

How it works

  1. Get the Pilot job at the job centre.
  2. Go to the Hangar marker at an airport and press E. Take out a plane or helicopter, or pick Start a mission (or type /pilotmission).
  3. Cargo: pick up the package, fly to the marked airfield and drop it off. Passengers: stop at the marked terminal, press E to board them, fly and land at the marker.
  4. You are paid $240–420 on arrival. Return the aircraft at a hangar.

The server picks the mission and the aircraft. Each leg only pays when you land within 60 m of the drop-off and the flight took at least as long as a real flight would (at least 30 seconds).

Flying players: park at the Flight marker, press E, choose the destination and a ticket price (up to $1,000). Players buy a ticket at the Boarding marker; the money goes to you. When no pilot is boarding, players can buy an NPC flight for $250.

A passenger mission: stop on the terminal and board the passengers.
A passenger mission: stop on the terminal and board the passengers.

Admin Quick Test

Setup

  1. Give yourself the job: /setjob me airport 0. Aircraft from the hangar are free. No pilot licence is checked.
  2. For the ticket test you need a second player with cash: /giveaccountmoney <their id> money 1000.

A mission

  1. Teleport to the LSIA hangar: /tp -1058.87 -2963.26 13.96. Press E → Open the hangar → Start a mission (or type /pilotmission). A random mission is picked: cargo gives you a titan, passengers a shamal.
  2. Cargo: collect the package (for example at -941.00, -2954.23, 13.95), carry it into the plane, fly to the marked airfield (for example Sandy at 1720.29, 3306.64, 41.22) and drop it off. Passengers: stop on the terminal marker (for example -1215.01, -2647.50, 14.55), press E to board them, fly to the marked airfield (for example 1713.73, 3253.16, 41.68), stop on the marker and press E.
  3. You see "Mission complete" and get $240–420 cash.
  4. Return the aircraft at a hangar (E → Return the aircraft).

Passenger flight with players

  1. Take an aircraft at the hangar and park it at the LSIA Flight marker: -1287.25, -2599.48, 14.55.
  2. Press E → Open boarding, choose the destination (Sandy or Grapeseed) and a ticket price (up to $1,000).
  3. The second player goes to the Boarding marker at -1042.43, -2745.55, 21.36 and presses E → Buy a ticket. The ticket money goes to you in cash. Boarding closes after 20 seconds.
  4. Fly to the destination Flight marker (Sandy 1740.01, 3282.08, 41.09; Grapeseed 2140.82, 4815.43, 41.22) and press E → Let the passengers off.

NPC flight

  1. With no pilot boarding, a player at a Boarding marker can buy an NPC flight for $250 to another airport.

If it doesn't work: "Only airport staff can do this" means a missing airport job. "The hangar spot is blocked" means an aircraft is on the spawn spot. "Too far from the drop-off" means land within 60 m of the marker. Teleporting or noclipping to the drop-off is not paid: each leg has a minimum flight time.
