Camera & Media
Take photos, keep them in the Gallery, play music and watch videos.
What it is
- Camera takes photos (rear camera or selfie). Photos are uploaded to Fivemanage and saved in your Gallery.
- Gallery keeps your photos so you can send them in messages, posts and adverts.
- Music plays YouTube songs as audio for you only, and keeps playing with the phone put away.
- Videos plays YouTube videos inside the phone.
How it works
Camera and Gallery
- Open Camera. The phone camera takes over the screen and the HUD hides.
- Move the mouse to aim, scroll to zoom, and press Enter or left mouse to take the photo.
- The photo is uploaded and appears in Gallery. A copy is also kept in the GTA gallery.
- In Gallery, open a photo to share it in a message or a Chirp post.
Music
- Open Music and paste a YouTube link or video id. Save up to 50 songs.
- Only you hear it. It keeps playing with the phone closed and stops when you die or go down.
Videos
- Open Videos and paste a YouTube link or video id. The video plays in the phone and stops when you put the phone away. Up to 30 saved and 20 recent videos are kept.
- Searching YouTube inside the app only works when the server owner has set a YouTube key (see below).

Photos need a Fivemanage key on the server (server setting fivemanage_key, used by mvx_scripts). Video search
needs the server setting set mvx_phone_youtube_key "your-key" in server.cfg. Never put these keys in a config
file.

Setup
- Type
/giveitem me phone 1and press F1.
Stage 1: Camera
- Open Camera. The view switches to the phone camera with key hints on screen.
- Scroll to zoom, press F for a selfie, then press Enter. The photo uploads.
- Press G. The Gallery opens with the new photo at the top.
Stage 2: share a photo
- Open the photo and send it to a contact in Messages. The other player sees the picture.
Stage 3: Music
- Open Music, paste a YouTube link and play it. You hear it; a player next to you does not.
- Close the phone. The music keeps playing. Type
/kill me: it stops./revive meto get up.
Stage 4: Videos
- Open Videos, paste a YouTube link. It plays inside the phone and stops when you close the phone.
The end. Photos upload to the Gallery and can be shared; music and videos play.
If it doesn't work: photos fail when the Fivemanage key is missing on the server; video search fails without
mvx_phone_youtube_key (pasting a link still works).
